Asking everyone. Do your schools stream for P3? Will you be more 'on' in p2 then?

They do, hmmm I do know I will not be totally hands off like I did for P1. Keep a closer eye on when the show n tells and her mini tests. Probably revise with her towards the 2nd half. DD1 has careless mistake issue :slapshead: so that is tough to crack

I feel super sian thinking abt p2... Was always hands off with ds1, so now I'm wondering how to be more on with dd!

Yup school will stream to P3. Will keep a close eye on her work. Will manage one step at a time. How I wish I can make PSLE into a non-event. It might sound blasphemy but I don't see it as a milestone in my kids' life. :siam:

Takes a bit of effort to make exams non-events, but do-able!
I think I succeeded :evil:... and so well that till now I don't even know exactly how my kids fared for exams this year. Haven't checked out their report books yet, believe it or not :razz:

I will not ignore the exams but I don't want it to govern our lives. Maybe it's becos I'm not working so the feeling of exams being all consuming is felt more by me heehee

Totally agree!

I also don't want life to revolve around exams and tests. But we are a bit extreme... We don't have exam 'culture' at home; I don't keep track of exam and test dates at all. I prefer my kids to see every assessment as just another piece of worksheet. Ds1's friends used to be shocked that he doesn't prepare for exams and that he loves exams ha!

Exams should be like roller coaster ride. You know it’s going to scare the s… out of you but still take it becos of the thrill
