I stayed at Novotel Platinium and Amari Watergate before. Both very good and location is very convenient.


I bought the kids (pri + sec) to Siam Ocean World, Dream World and Safari World.

Siam World: worthwhile going but very expensive.
Dream World: Beautiful scenery, nice rides but don’t expect Universal studio types. Worthwhile going if you have not been before.
Safari World: Wide space and many animals to see. Can feed giraffes and also have interesting animal shows.

Anyone know about the floating market? Worthwhile going?

i do have a thai friend who will bring us around whenever we go as well


he will oso advise us whether the place worth going or not
floating market not exactly one of the places he will bring cos the water is not exactly clean… we went to mdm tussard though…

Friends are there now. They seems to be enjoying their trip there now looking at their FB posts. Dont think there will be any major disruptions, like previous times when they have riots and what not.


For own safety, do register with MFA if you are going there. In case there’s any assistance required from Embassy. Touchwood

Planing a family trip to Bangkok in January.

The tickets so cheap with airasia and scoot giving discounts like every other day... too tempting.

Wifey wanna stay somewhere close to Platinum Fashion Mall so she can shop the whole day (trip). And I chanced upon this AirBnB listing .... Apartment at Platinum Fashion Mall itself ! ..and of course wifey go crazy.

She has quite a few apartments available in the condo itself.
The reviews for the host are quite good and seems like a few singaporeans stayed there.

Thinking of this or Novotel...
Price for stay is relatively cheaper than staying at Novotel Platinum Hotel and we get to have a larger apartment as compared to a room.

Anyone stayed there before?
Good deal?

My wifey goes crazy just with 1 shopping mall.


The Platinum Fashion Mall which sells women clothings at ridiculous wholesale price. It's almost like a regular place to visit every few months.

She can bagged 1 full luggage within a day.
Usually have to buy extra luggage excess. :spank:
