Textbooks only 5% off. So far, never hear that Popular gives good prices off textbook, and I figure they never will.

coz their web page stated 20% off for chinese and english books.. thats why confuse if textbook also entitle 20% off.
if like that, is it better if we direct order from http://www.popular.com.sg?
any other bookshop which give better offer for textbooks?

Understand, but I recall seeing fine print that some items excluded. I get textbooks from my kid's school - understand from others that school bookshops usually give cheaper than Popular. Popular don't tag text books so I have no clue how much it costs. Too much work to go figure out how much I can save from buying from either so I gave up (think win some lose some). 😛

Sorry I cannot answer this directly, but, I was at Bras basah complex and they were having a booksale. Seems like 2nd hand dealers have quite a few roald dahl books. Another sorry for not looking at the prices (i bought my RD set long time ago), but it should be way cheaper.

FYI for example, I bought Charlotte's web for $2.90 - the cover was a bit bent. Definitely not pristine but the price is alluring enough. Just be sure to check for missing pages.

I can’t recall if the sale is already over but they have it often. Anyway, I picked up my book at one of the shops before I found the 'bookfair" - same price… good price so I didn’t whine.
