      @ verykiasumummy, many thanks for your answer.

      But still am still puzzle, why DS answer is marked incorrect by his teacher
      and why his teacher circle the word 'iron'.

      sorry to ask again, please help me with the graph question

      Thank you !
      i would think that the teacher circled the \"iron\" word because though ur ds wrote iron core but his explanation is about if steel core is used, then it will.. etc.

      students must be reminded not to give a wrong explanation. if choose A, need to explain why have to choose A and not why cannot choose B.

        a) ball w as it travelled the shortest distance because the friction between the ball surface and the ground is the greatest.

        (use friction between surface 1 and surface 2, produce is a wrong word to use)

        b) he can release the ball at a higher position on the ramp. the higher the position of the ball being released, the greater the gravitational potential energy it possessed, hence converted to more kinetic energy to move to a longer distance.

        hope it helps..

          do tell ur daughter that it is important to write specific answers using right terms. produce friction is wrong. friction produced during.... is right. note that point.

          thanks,

            The temperature cannot suddenly plunge to 10 degrees within 2 minutes, or lose heat to the surrounding within a short period of time, unless ice cubes are dropped into the water.

            how to go about answering this question ?

            some ice cubes / ice water / cold water has been added to the beaker.

            the answer is straight forward. many questions in p5 and p6 test papers are similar like this.

            one possible answer is... the hot water was kept inside the freezer.

                    The question is too small. Can’t view it properly.

                      Qtn quoted here for better visibilty.

                      <<Shawn wanted to find out how much force was needed to overcome the attraction of different materials which were attracted to a strong magnet. The materials are of similar size. He set up the experiment as shown below.

                      (see image above)

                      He pulled on the spring balance until the material was separated from the magnet. The readings on the spring balance were recorded as shown below.

                      Material-------->Readings on the Spring Balance (unit force)
                      P---------------->45
                      Q---------------->60
                      R---------------->30
                      S---------------->45

                      What conclusions could he make from the above readings ?

                      A: Q is the best material for magnetic attraction.
                      B: R is made from a heavier material than material Q.
                      πŸ˜„ P and S are made from the same magnetic material.
                      😧 R is easier to be magnetized as compared to material P.

                      (1) A only
                      (2) B and C only
                      (3) A and D only
                      (4) A, B and C only >>

                      Can someone please advise on the answer for the above question ? Many thanks in advance! πŸ™‚
