Anyone care to share what literature book titles are used in Year 1? For History and Geography do the Y1 use higher level books.

Yes, RGS uses Sec 3 & 4 geog tb from sec 1. It will last till sec 4.

History textbook...not really touched.

They used The Giver for this year, so I suppose next year too unless they changed the syllabus or something?

A school tie will be given to you along with other things like 2 name tags (which will be issued after a month or so) and other stuff that are necessary in a bag during orientation. If you lose your school tie, you can purchase it from the Prefectorial Board room beside the General Office

Hi I am a student. My friend DSA sucessfullyinto RGS using sports. If I am accepted into RGS using the Secondary 1 posting exercise would there be a chance I will be same class as her or be put in to another class. Thanks.

My PSLE aggregate is 263. Would I stand a better chance to get into RGS or Nanyang?

Students are randomly assigned in the mainstream classes, so there's every chance that you and your friend may be in the same class.

You should select the school that you feel more of an affinity to. With 263, you should be able to get into either.
