Welcome Uncle. I shall welcome myself here also.

I am not a parent, but will be one soon (hopefully).

And I am glad to see parents taking part in online interactions :):)

        Don't get addicted though. 😛

hehehe thanks man. But kids can also be fun.

That time I go my friend’s house to study and he has a son around 7.

Wah that boy is very very naughty!!! Then he was very stubborn and don’t wanna listen to his daddy - he kept disturbing us while we’re studying. Soon he started acting very rebellious.

My friend is a very kind father and never scolds his son.

In the end I bo tahan, I tickled the boy as if I wanted to play with him. Then I hug him and keep on tickling him until he cry hahahahahha. I said "If you don’t listen to your father I won’t stop. Do you want to listen to your father?"

Then he nodded with tears in his eyes and he obediently went into his room.

10 mins later he come out and sit with us quietly reading a book. hahahhahaha My friend gave me a thumbs up.

Wow… Im sure you do have the children ‘yuan’.

You managed to tame the boy down.

                How old are you tho!

I must admit I am not that kind type, I often scold them or even worst, beat. Because I wanted them to know what is right and wrong if they do not listen after I scolded them.

Beat slowly until they feel pain, then they realise that it is wrong. Better to discipline now than later. I do not want my kids to be discipline by the law. ROFL.

Well, to each of its own. Every parents have their own way of disciplining the kids, at least I did not went to the wrong path. hahaha… (sounded dramatic)

hehe I am around 25-30 only. Preparing myself for parenthood. Anxious. My friend’s about 35-40 and we got to know each other in uni. Wow the age gap hahhahha and that’s when I realise that the saying "boys will always be boys" is pretty much true.

But yea man what you said about being disciplined by the law is so true. I believe your method works if done right cos that’s how my own parents discipline me when I was young. So far I have not broken the law (if you include the the SAF ‘law’).

Parent hood is fun and very tiring. There are times we must not neglect them because they are young once.

That’s one of the reason why I left my workplace and do freelance while taking care of the kids. e.g. bringing them to and fro school on time.

                    More time tho. hahaha

Freelance can be extremely rewarding. I have a friend who does freelance web designing and he charges 1.2k (or more) per website 😮

Of course, the biggest perk of freelance jobs is the freedom and you are working to make YOURSELF wealthy…

What are you doing as a freelancer? (if you don’t mind me asking)
