A friend recommended me Cloze Practice. I find it good as there is clear explanation before each exercise. But this assessment title doesn't have that component on synonyms. Just Education P4 has that section though.

DD1 bought the Just Ed Mastering Cloze when she went \"leisure shopping\" at Popular with daddy without mummy πŸ˜‚ She said she picked the book because it published by the centre she having Maths tuition πŸ˜‰

Just briefly went thru the fronting of the book - looks pretty impressive though πŸ†’

Thank you Champion. We have comprehension cloze here, where the blank is partially spelt. I think that the tips in this photo will help us to arrive at the answers more efficiently. πŸ™‚

              Hi All,
Just wanna share the above book that my going P5 DD1 just started to use πŸ˜„

I find the Strategies and tips very useful. I also find it provides guidance on how to tackle and answer the various type of questions.

I have to reiterate again - this is my own sharing; I am neither related to the publisher nor the author or promoting on behalf of anybody πŸ˜„

Very useful and very helpful, Champion. Keep sharing these golden nuggets. I like the part where it says writing down the question number in that part of the passage where the answer lies; simple and obvious but so useful - I had not even thought of this. Keep the good practices flowing. πŸ˜„

On a different note, I have just found the following site of Comprehension Cloze. My P4 DS, as we speak, is doing Conquer Cloze P4. He fpound the following site challenging. I think it is good prep for PSLE.

The comprehensions on this site are great for my P2 and P4 boys.

My DS (a rising 9 year old) just started on the P5 comprehensions. To improve his time management, I give him 42 seconds a question regardless of the size of the passage. Here in the UK, timed comprehensions are of this magnitude per question.

He attained 7/9 in the first P5 section. I use these tests to diagnose and rectify his inference-based weaknesses.

It would useful to know if there any SG comprehension books P1 to P6 and then up to S2 that contain inference based MCQ.
