      Hi mummies,

would likle to hear your feedback if any ones of you still coaching your kid math (for P5) ? šŸ™‚

yes, will still be coaching dd in maths for P5. Some questions are beyond me though, will have to rely on answer sheets.

Yup, relying on answer sheet, solve backward using algebra, then go back using model.
That is why don't let the kids to solve Maths the day before exam. Make them do 2 weeks before, at least you give yourself ample time to solve after a tiring day at work. CMC (can means can)

        Please help!

Smiggles. DD1 and friends love the stationeries there. Coloured gel pens, notebooks, erasers, pencils, water bottles, bags etc etc.
Outlets at 313 Somerset, united square, nex, plaza sing, city link, vivo...

Sniggles made in china with lousy quality. Looks nice at first sight but after usage, question mark.

for us, my boy will do the Math venture mag that we ordered and when he got stuck, he will approach husband, or wait for the answers in the next issue. then during topical test, we just use our selected assessment books (with worked solution - i just let him see the solution and if he still does not understand, then he will approach husband). then March/Sept holiday, we will do exam papers. any question he stuck, will go ask husband. if husband stuck, we will get him to approach his math teacher....have to do way before exams and not last minute.

I visited one of their stores. Really striking colours and creative concept. My kids said many of their classmates own some of the items. Didn't buy for them though. Ridiculously overpriced

When we studying his mind always think about TV/computer/iphone.I wonder if it continued like this how he would manage P5 load.

EXACTLY how i feel for my dd :frustrated: :stompfeet: :slapshead:

                Take away the TV/computer/iphone/game consoles

I attended a parenting talk recently and one daddy shared his 'sob' story of how his ds result free fall after given an iphone. During the talk, speaker caution all parents to delay awarding kids smart phone. It's very hard to curb addiction once hooked.

Me! I love Math so enjoy the challenge. Unfortunately dd1 doesn't seem to inherit our love for this subject. I just spent an hour looking through Math and Science text and guidebooks. Going to be a tough year ahead as some of the topics are not easy. Am going to spend some time preparing myself for the year ahead by reading up first. :scared: Will be back to the crazy hectic schedule once new year begins. No time to watch Korean serial this hols. Sigh!
