I asked him to attend tuition for Sci.He refused to go.I gave him two option.

      1)study by himself
      2)go to tuition
He said choose the first one. When I asked him to read the topic he expected me to read for him. Then I asked qn,he don't know the answer and told me I never read, that's why he doesn't know. :stupid: :stupid:
When we studying his mind always think about TV/computer/iphone.I wonder if it continued like this how he would manage P5 load.

EXACTLY how i feel for my dd :frustrated: :stompfeet: :slapshead:

      Take away the TV/computer/iphone/game consoles

I attended a parenting talk recently and one daddy shared his 'sob' story of how his ds result free fall after given an iphone. During the talk, speaker caution all parents to delay awarding kids smart phone. It's very hard to curb addiction once hooked.

          Hi mummies,

would likle to hear your feedback if any ones of you still coaching your kid math (for P5) ? šŸ™‚

yes, will still be coaching dd in maths for P5. Some questions are beyond me though, will have to rely on answer sheets.

Me! I love Math so enjoy the challenge. Unfortunately dd1 doesn't seem to inherit our love for this subject. I just spent an hour looking through Math and Science text and guidebooks. Going to be a tough year ahead as some of the topics are not easy. Am going to spend some time preparing myself for the year ahead by reading up first. :scared: Will be back to the crazy hectic schedule once new year begins. No time to watch Korean serial this hols. Sigh!

I have already promised my dd1 that i will get her a smart phone if she hit her target of scoring >75 in her recent SA2 , which , i m now very much i regretted

she has been gently \"reminding\" me and \"patiently'\" waiting\" for me to get her 1 after getting my bonus :nailbite:

i dont want to break my promise and break her heart, what should i do? :?:

Actually I put dd1 in holiday program for Math twice and found it to be a total waste of money. The first time I found out that the answer provided by teacher was totally incorrect :yikes: Decided that best that I teach her myself.

I don't rely much on Math assessment book. Just one to reinforce the concept but no specific publisher. This year I use My Pals is here! Extra practice with revision notes.

Mainly practise using past years exam papers which I find is a better gauge of questions that come out during actual exams.

To maintain your credibility and trustworthiness, think better to get her one. But set the boundaries. Can keep the iTunes password a secret if you don't want her to download games without your supervision.

My gal has her personal iTouch and iPhone3S as well as free access to my iPads. But she is not really into computer games. Doesn't access any of them daily. Sometimes play games on iPad but for less than an hour each time. To her, the iPhone is just for calling mum/dad after CCA. Can't download apps cos we didn't register her account in iTunes.

                        Snowball,

All Apple gadgets need to have a registered account in iTunes before can download apps. Not sure about androids phone though. Depends on which smartphone you are getting but am sure there's password to download apps.
Not sure if i can help cos hubby is the IT guy in the family. I have never register any of my Apple product before.
