Agree. Sports can train reflex as long as they are into competitive training.

Hahaha, I just said that to DH! He wanted to get DS1 a PSP for his birthday and I objected. We are still arguing about it. Last year, he got DS1 a DS Lite and it's largely unused because my son would rather spend all his time swimming or on his Lego and Zoob sets. But DH, being an avid gamer, is undeterred and persists in trying to get our kids hooked on Wii, DS etc.
In fact, he keeps mentioning research along the line of http://archsurg.ama-assn.org/cgi/content/short/142/2/181 and tells me that playing electronic games actually help him improve his techniques in computed-assisted surgery. :roll:

Hubby owns a PSP. For his own consumption :lol:

He left his PSP at home when he's at work.

Kids never touch it. They don't know what to do with it :?

Wow this is interesting revelation! I find Wii has its goodness, not sure about PSP and DS Lite.

I agree on that part on gaming improving hands-eyes coordination.

but too much gaming is bad regardless of age.

Hehe, my DH says the opposite, cos the handhelds require finer manoeuvering? (Is that true?) Aiyoh, maybe mobile phones are sufficient in that case.

for psp, i won't buy for them for its cost (paisay hor, i am usually a scrooge if it comes to spending on unnecessary stuff, so much so that on the day when i brought ds1 on a shopping 'spree' in a stationary shop - when i don't question any of his purchases that is within the budget - he told me that he felt that he was dreaming...:lol:), but will welcome it if anyone wants to gift it to them.
