Hi… I have a 12 month only son. I will be going back to work and we are considering putting our son into childcare center rather than hirin a nanny. I will be working at the singpost center near paya lebar mrt, would anyone recommend a good childcare center in that area? or eunos or kembangan, walking distance to mrt 😃

            Hi,
I just attended their trial together with my son & I like their homely enviroment for this young age. Will you girl be there for next year? Which group will she be in? I've registered my son for N2 next year... 🙂

My girl can only register into their Pre-Nursery class next year...

How do you find the trial session? What do you think of their curriculum?

Masterpiece is in association with Pat’s school house, so shouldnt be too bad.

As for Smartgro tiny tots, the fees are very reasonable as I have enquired before but I am not too sure if the curicullum is good. The last time I went in 2005, they have an Indian principal who didnt impress me much.

I think it’s better to put your child in a centre near home so that in the event he / she is sick during school and u need to send him back, you do not need to travel all the way from work place to home.

Also there may be days when you will be on leave. If you have a child near your work place, you will still need to travel all the way to send him to childcare which could be a hassle as he will be spending the next 4 years there…not too sure if you have the stamina, plus you may have other kids coming along. food for thought[/list]

                      Thanks Lucky,

i will go to view the materpiece and the smartgro later. will discuss more abt the programme and thanks to remind me when i am on leave or my son sick, i dun travel so long,so i will consider the ccc near my house instead of near my working area.

                      cheers

                      michelle

Another reason for putting child in CC near home is so that you don’t have to take public transport to and from home and CC during peak hours. Adults already have problems with travelling on public transport during peak hours. Can you imagine if you have "(fragile) extra baggage"? And it’s not just the children but their "barang-barang" as well.
