How about BATA? Was there last week to get school shoes.

The designs for boys and girls are nice...not too childish.
Or else Metro City Sq...near the Crocs section. I think the brand is Impact.
Bata should be okay. Though I've never bought bag from there only shoes.

I didn't realise school shoes today are not so strict. Bought 2 North Star shoe lace ones for son...2 for $29. Daughter likes Bubblegummers one...easy to wash too compared to canvas material.

My school those who wear the converse type shoes (all white with the blac/red line at the base of the shoe) get booked unless they use liquid paper etc to cover it up lol.

            A better tomorrow:

Any bag to recommend at a price of 20$-$30 + good backing πŸ˜„

Popular bookstore in house brand pop kids $29.90.

Ever got this for DS. But tore within 6 mths. Partly also because he loves to lug everything n DS is quite rough. So pop kids bag did not last for him

              Skyed,

Wow , your bag is quite lasting. May I check with you how many books you put in the bag?

The schoolbag that I've been using for 2 years+ already is one I got from zinc. (Pink with black polkadots)

Only about 3-4. The rest (like 1 or 2) I carry in my arms because I don't like my bag being heavy otherwise cannot grow taller. Haha.[/quote]

Got to agree that zinc bag is quite durable. After 6 mths of usage, bag is stl intact. For the way my DS handles his things, I think this is quite a big deal. But zinc bags r normally priced at abt $49 or more.

We went to Queenstown Shopping centre and saw the Everlast bag for about S$35 & $44 after discount. Anyone has used this bag.
