Brother’s Myanmar helper just came…so far she has been ok…but have to be patient with her as she can speak limited English. But she gets along with my kids. Both of them are teaching her English.

Just want to warn others of terrible service provided by Upview Employment Service. One of the owners is Emilin Neo- the before and after sale attitudes are a vast difference!

Had a shockingly bad experience so thought other parents should know and avoid it.

Too long a story… From not being Case Trust Accredited company thought it stated and many other lies told by them.

Too a certain extent, I can understand if the maid agency cannot control the quality of maids… But I cannot tolerate if there is lack of service when agency fees have been paid, and when lies are told and misrepresentation of loan refunds in contracts.

If you have alternative arrangements for the family then just send her home - although it may be hard to get a ticket at the moment. If not, take some time to sort yourself out, look for another maid, re-organise schedules etc then send her home. Do not warn her in advance......and lock up anything valuable!!

My ex-colleague reported hers to the police.
Stole a cheque from her cheque book, and tried to encash at the bank.

Actually I don't checked my Maid's bag out of respect for her privacy. But I guess you will never know.

That’s why I always treat maid as an employee. Never a family member! This means I don’t trust them completely regardless how long they work for me.

What did you do? Does your maid know you found the ring?

I'd arrange for her flight home today. Before send-off, will check her bags etc thoroughly. If hubby or a male friend cannot help, will pay for someone to escort her to airport... Just in case she becomes difficult. To me, no point having her around if I can't trust her....I have zero tolerance to theft.

Then will write to MOM to inform with the hope that they will blacklist her. Wouldn't want another employer to be her next victim. However, not sure whether MOM will blacklist without a police report nowadays.
