I need to scout for new schools shoes for my dd. Can RGS parents please let me know if the girls are allowed to wear track shoes. If it has to be white, can it have some colour strips or patches. Silver strip okay? Also, no ankle socks right?

Ehhh!!! I already bought white shoes with a thin red border. Will that be a problem ? Also my dd got into RGS via DSA does she need to go to her primary school on 19th to collect something as her other friends who comes through S1 posting will be there to collect their posting result.

How is traffic there in the morning? I intend to drive via Scotts Rd and then Draycott Park. Any entrance at Draycott or must only drop off at Anderson
road main gate.

Shoes have to be 80% white, so a few colours etc are allowed as long as it isn't too big and stretch across the entire shoe, like a huge nike tick or something

Socks are either RGS socks, or must be socks without logos that can be seen when worn.

In CTE towards City, exit Cairnhill Circle and make a u turn. Alight at the bus stop, don't turn right to Anderson Road.

In CTE towards City, exit Cairnhill Circle and make a u turn. Alight at the bus stop, don't turn right to Anderson Road.

From Draycott Drive, keep left, turn left, drop your DD at the bus stop at the main road (Steven Rd) right before Anderson Road junction, avoid turning left into Anderson Road unless you need to drive into the school, there is always a jam there in the morning.
Draycott Road too will experience slower traffic in the morning....

Pls note that traffic at both ways of Balmoral Rd is bad in the morning cos 2 schools are at both ends of the road, ACSB and RGS. If drive via Balmoral road you have to either drop her on the opposite side of the school (means she has to cross the Steven road junction) or drive into the jam in Anderson road.

Can anyone advise if I should buy all textbooks listed in book list or leave out certain subject textbooks first? From this thread, I gather some textbooks are never used.

My DD will be joining RGS in Sec 1 next yr. I would appreciate your guidance and opinions on what the girls there will wear? Specifically shoes… I believe it’s 80% white and some girls there tell me most girls wear Converse type? Is that fashionable these days?

Also, for school bags… Do they still use backpack type? Hello kitty type still in fashion or are they too kiddy?

I want DD to fit in but also need guidance on how much individuality she can play with 
