no kok-kok mee for me…but had a chee cheong fun man who will walk along the corridor at around 4pm.

Yaohan was THE ‘hypermart’ then, where we could get prepack rice and sugar. The ‘viewing gallery’ for the bakery was an eye opener with many people crowding around watching the process. Their An pan buns were prob the best seller then!

We used to have a redifussion at home too 🙂

I also missed the time when I was participating in NDP. I was holding the flashcard. Last time we made beautiful pictures by turning the flashcards, which was actually a book.

I particpated in the Youth festival parade as the guard of honour but never NDP for anything. NDP crowd was scarily huge for my size at that time. 😉 Must be fun to do the flashcards in a coordinated fashion.

It was fun. You follow the instructions by looking at the lights opposite.
Sad though, we can't see the designs overselves 😞

I've not stayed in a kampung before, but DH has. And he is always reminiscing about his childhood days. He's always talking about catching spiders (fighting spiders), playing in the streams, catching fishes, climbing trees and other rough and tumble games with his brothers and cousins. I think he really had a carefree childhood.

As for me, my fave childhood memories were playing \"zero point\", five stones and chap-tek (I was chap-tek queen in school 😉 ). But my most fave game of all was to play kite-fighting. I wd dip my kite string into crushed glass and then kite-fight with my neighbours. Yup, I was a regular tom-boy (my grandma used to call me sam-seng)

What did he use to make the 血滴子 or are you referring to this cooking pot that is good for frying?

Goodness the 保镖 show was the funniest show of the century.....went round and round in circles and dunno how it ended...
