Appeal Secondary One Posting

Thanks to both for your advice. My son did not do well and will have to settle for neighboutrhood schools. His score is in mid 220s only and I have applied Riverside Sec in Woodlands for him. I believe we should be within 3 points from COP.

Is there a deadline for appealing?
The sec school reporting is on 20 dec 8:30am. As we may not be in S’pore then and back only on 23 Dec, do you think it is too late to appeal to the school of choice on 24 Dec?

My son did 235 for his PSLE and is 1 point short of COP to Nan Chiau. After reading this thread, I put Nan Chiau as his first choice (near to home) and prepared to appeal on 20Dec.


Just to ensure I got this correct…

20Dec report to posted school first. Submit appeal letter before 12pm same day and wait wait wait…

Did I miss anything? Appreciate your advice if I do.

p/s. not confident of the appeal as they do not have extra classes next yr despite it is a baby boom intake.

suggest u call Nan Chiau directly on your specific query as some schools had started accepting appeals and perhaps u can do it on 19 Dec too ...

Hi lost boy, i suppose you are preparing for chs (just in case)....u might like to prepare a copy of your psle result, P4 to p6 results and any other certificate or testimonies for your cca or music etc....you might like to give chs a call to understand the exact requirements because every schools have different requirements....

Pls note you still have to report to the school you are posted to on 20th dec 8.30am...

Anyway good luck and hope that you will not need to go thru appeal route....
