I personally think she is just holding it together for her son's sake. He is already 10, can read all the newspaper reports, see his father's face splash everywhere, see the other woman's photos and read the SMS exchanges.
School is starting in two weeks. He has to face all his classmates and teachers and walk pass all the people whispering.
If she, the mother, does not hold her head up high to set him an example, how can she expect him to take it in his stride, to SHOW him that life goes on?
She is highly educated and probably has her own money. She doesn't need him. Most mothers will sacrifice for their children even if they feel like killing the men. -

i totally agree with you. the poor son has to go to school and have his classmates asking him strange and awkward questions. the mother really has to be there for him.
