      Hi Parents

I would to get a general feel from the public - if your son is eligible to both Catholic High School & SJI - which one would you choose ?

ie which one, in your opinion, is a \"better\" school & why ... thanks !
If you are eligible for SJI, you may not be eligible for Catholic High cos Catholic High has a higher cut off point.

COP aside, school fees is another consideration. Both are Catholic schools no doubt, but SJI is independent, while Catholic High is not.

          Hi!

I am wondering why there are appears to be some comment that there is unequal weightage for the PSLE subjects. This appears to be for English and Chinese. Can anyone enlighten me?

I have spoken to 2 primary school principals who said all 4 subjects have equal weighting. And Straits Times did mention recently this unequal weighting for the languages was abolished in the 1980s.
          Think you misunderstand.

All 4 subjects are indeed given equal weightings.

I think the discussion were about how t-score was computed.

SJI for a more Holistic Education as evident by the School Excellence Award and PM's remarks at the National Day Rally Speech.

Both are good. Maybe if you speak Chinese at home, then go to SJI to speak more English.
