Hi Choco85,
Can I check whether it is necessary to purchase the textbooks as I understand that some textbooks are not used?
Thank you. -
I have just checked with the admin office and was informed that we do not have to bring along any documents tomorrow. The gals just have to report at 8.30am wearing their primary school uniform.

The thing about the textbooks is that it's usually not used, but applies to the syllabus for a long time. For example, your geog textbook will be in use from year 1-4.Hi Choco85,

I would say, unless you are very sure you don't need something, or like you have hand me downs from another child/friend, just buy the books. This is the only one time you would be buying so many actually! For year 2 and 3 all you buy is math/lit/chi books.
Plus, knowing how kiasu parents are, they will buy everything, even the stationery like scissors  -

I am guilty of that. I bought the paints, brushes, scissors etc last year. She finally used it for her D&T project...

She did read her textbooks last yr since no other assessment books are needed. She read through her RGS notes and textbook(except maths) to prepare for her exams. Was enough without the need for any tuition. -

So I guess we still have to purchase all the textbooks. Should we purchase both Chinese and HCL textbooks and workbooks if they are eligible for HCL or we just need to purchase HCL textbooks and workbooks only? -
