We were there yesterday for the reporting too. Was expecting a school tour or at least show the parents and new students various ways to walk to school from MRT and bus but didnt happen.

The uniform purchase was chaotic. Not enough signage/directions to guide parents where to queue. We ended up queueing at the wrong line because we checked with the guys in front of us and they were obviously also in the wrong queue.

Hi parents, are you taking up the insurance package for the Mac Book purchase? Pls share the reasons if you are not.

If there is any student currently studying in Maris Stella High, pls share with us your feedback on the insurance claim procedure (if any).

There are a lot of exclusions for the insurance claims. I am undecided if I want to take up the insurance package which works out to be 13% of purchase price.

Was at MHS registration yesterday. As we were not familar with the school campus, we ended up at the primary school section instead. We had to find our own way to the hall. DS waited rather long just to receive an information folder. Some parents took rather long to e-Register and there is no provision for more stations. The long waiting affected our enthusiasm. Also, I did not see many teachers there to welcome us. We went home w/o even buying uniform, text books etc.

Compared with my another DS who registered for sec 1 years ago at another school, the atmosphere was more welcoming and lively with great presence of the teaching staff and a welcome speech by the principal.

I guess the registration day may appear less welcome to parents, however there will be a welcome session for parents when the term starts.

I would like to know either from the parent or any existing MSHS student, anyone knows the school CCA Band includes violin instrument? My son sings and plays violin. MSHS has no choir, we are very concern which CCA he can join?

Thanks CuriousHippo, I guess the Principal wants to address new students and parents (on 11/1 @ 4pm according to the information kit) when the enrolment is more stable, after handling the transfers/appeals cases.

Oh yeah, i was told by the uniform vendor that all Marist have to wear their PE singlet with their uniform everyday. Is that true?
