No, just submit the appeal form online and sent document to Njc.

Just to add on, we received the call on 24 Dec morning and was told under waiting list.

My DD sent in an appeal but now would like to stay with her posted school. Could anyone advise what we need to do if we are successful but want to reject the transfer?

If we did not apply for a transfer out of her posted school, she will remain there right? Thank you very much!

If your DD is successful in her appeal, you can reject the school and let her remains in her posted school. This does not affect her stay in her posted school as you did not inform her posted school that she is transferring out.

If your DD decided to stay at her posted school, I think it is morally right to go back to the appealed school and withdraw your appeal. This will open up the place for others who want to trandfer there.

You will not deny others a place.

Tks. So does waiting list stand a good chance for successful appeal? Jus curious.

Was in NJC breifing. The principal said that NJC take in 200 students during s1 posting and they can increase 50 more students for those appeal student so chances are high for those appealing to NJC.

Any of you been informed of a successful appeal with SJI?

                  TIA

Just received call from SJI that my DS's appeal is successful 🙂

He scored 245 but was rejected in the posting by decimals. I guess that's why his chance is relatively high.

Good luck to the rest who are waiting. I know the process is quite, if not as stressful as waiting for PSLE results!

Congrats ..did u received call today?

Yes, I received the call this morning 9+

Don't lose hope yet, I believe there should be more vacancies freed up in 1st - 2nd week of Jan coz there will be more movements among students from 1 sch to another.

                      All the best.

                        Bonnie:

Seems like COP of most schools went up. My son 225, guess its very slim chances. I thought with IP, more students will be flowing to those schools offering IP. Didnt expect so many traditional schools' COP to go up so much

Yes Bonnie. I gave up appealing after I found out the COP of our 1st choice went up by 4 points this year. My DS was 1 mark below last year COP. With this year COP, he is now 5 marks below. Well we are glad we skipped the anxiety of waiting for appealing results.

Not forgetting this batch is also the dragon baby boom year. More pupils competing for the seats.

Yup,the COP of a neighbourhood sch in the west increased from 190 - 197! And the sch has received calls from people wanting to appeal in!
