      Chloe22:

      Hi hi
Yes it' great to be back 😄
I called the school again yesterday and was told the Admin manager in charge has left the school and i can call a lady name Anna from the transport co.
She said the fees will include those days the whole cohort have to stay behind (e.g. IT lessons) but exclude CCA.
I think I will call the school again...
I agree if the fees include all CCA days then it's alright but if exclude then I prob will have to pay close to $300 once my girl stays behind for CCA. It's too much!
Sounds like you are an old girl, then Welcome back! :hugs:

Surprised to learn that Ricky has left St Nicks, I met him on the 2nd last day of school... anyway, I have pmed you, please check your inbox...

The dismissal time for P1 is as late as 145pm. Recess time at 930am. The two meals are almost 4.5 hours apart, assuming you are staying near the school. I wonder how did your girls coped? Did they become skinner?

That's 1 of my bugbears too! Sch used to end at 2 pm a few yrs ago! Some teachers let the girls bring snacks to eat in class at ard 12 so u may want to pack something. But that's usu only for lower pri. I feel sorry for those who stay far away and take sch buses. I let my daughter take the sch bus once but she only got home at 3 as she was the last off, and that was when we were staying in bishan. She was exhausted and weak with hunger. Poor thing! So i decided that that was the last time she took the sch bus.

Just checked the school's website. The Time Table Structure seems to say that the dismissal time for 2013 is 1:50pm EVERYDAY ?

              Am I correct ?

              Faint lor....

Yes, school end at 1.50pm is very late. Early recess ard 930am / 10am, by the time the girls reach home for lunch abt 3pm, must be very hungry !! After lunch & bath, 4pm ,left not much time for HW alry!! Soon dinner time 7pm , only abt 4 hours after lunch, don’t think they can eat much. 9pm…battery low…Lucky can sleep early, unlucky may still have more HW to finish …

Poor girls only have so little time to rest, spend at home.
Wonder who plan the school timetable? Does she/ he has primary school kids that only reach home and have lunch at 3pm??

Do you think it’s wise for me to highlight my concerns to the principal? I don’t expect the school to change the timing but at least she can tell her teacher to give the girls a 15 mins in class lunch break, to munch half a sandwich or a packet of biscuits. We adults cannot even tahan having lunch at 2pm, what more a 6/7 year old girl.

Anyone’s girl gg P1 next year? Mine in 1 Faith.

I found this on MOE’s website.

"The Ministry does not stipulate operation hours for schools. However, there are guidelines on formal curriculum hours, which account for the biggest proportion of school hours.

                    2. For Primary 1 and 2, the guideline is for 48 periods of 30 minutes each per week and for Primary 3 to 6—49 periods of 30 minutes each per week. This works out to 5 hours a day including recess time. For secondary schools, the curriculum time guidelines stipulate 40 periods of 40 minutes each per week. This works out to 6 hours a day including recess time.".

I counted the timetable, there are 57 periods of 30 mins.

                    A bit too much right?

I think end 1.15pm , shorter by a period of 30min will be just nice.

If the girls alry tired and hungry, how much can they concentrate?
                      got quantities no qualities??
