Omg .... You replied soooo... Late...
Hi G Tan, I wonder if you found out anything different but I had understood the MEP to be catered for the 4 year O Level track. My daughter is starting IP in 2013 too. If it is possible to combine IP and MEP (need to confirm with school) the student should have a very strong interest in music as they expect MEP students to commit to a music CCA, unless the student is in a school sports team. I decided to let my daughter pursue her music outside school.mamakata:
Hi!!
Can someone tell me more about MEP in MGS?? MY girl is admitted to MGS for IP program 2013. need to submit by today if we want to join
We submitted the Mep form already...how...
Each girl is different: I was just giving my daughter's perspective. If your daughter is very keen on music then I'm sure she will be fine. Good luck! -

We submitted the Mep form already...how...
My understanding from another school offering MEP is that MEP is more for O Level track (as a 9th subject :scratchhead: ) meaning by taking the subject, it doesn't help much in moving on to year 5 since the child is kind of like \"auto\" move on to year 5 without needing the o-level results. The MEP exam is divided into a few exams in Sec-4 O-level. If I remember correctly, it starts in March for the 1st component and follow by a few more. My opinion is that the child would still need tuition coz there is a performance component which the school may not enough time to coach much. School time focus more on theory.
Best is to check with the school's MEP teacher. -
My DD has appealed to MGS with just two points difference. What is her chance of being successful? Anybody in the same situation as of me. Any appeal interview in previous years? Pl provide some info
Thanks in advance -
Anyone has received results from the appeal? I am only told that appeal will be announced from 26 Dec.

Hi there Lilo, the school called us with the appeal results this morning and confirmed this afternoon by sending us the booklist. Hope your appeal got through as well.

Hello parents, school is starting in a week time.I guess is time to start letting your dd learn to wear double layers (2 shirts) at home so that they can adapt to the heat when school starts. As heard from my dd,most students will start wearing their uniform with a shirt (mostly pe attire) inside in secondary school. My dd is starting this practice tomorrow so wonder if any parents will agree and follow my saying.

It was for the IP (IB) program. She had gotten into the Express and we thought just try to appeal. -

Do existing MGS parents think this is necessary? Since they have a pinafore under the white shirt, PE shirt will have to go under the pinafore which makes it 3 layers! Can't they just change into PE outfit at school?
