anyone has appealed to Hua Yi? This year's cutoff is 220 and my son is 218. Any chance? What do they look for in appeal? CCA or by merit?

Oh i din know that this yr cut off is 220 tat low? I tot last yr is 222...Anyway my son got in Hua Yi as he score 223. Since yr kid score 218 u can try to appeal no harm

          Hi all,

My boy posted to Hua Yi as his 2nd choice, after missing JSS for 2 points. He was a litltle dusappointed at first. But after reading about the school and visiting the school yesterday, our perception change, we are all happy with the school .

Brought everything and looking forward to his new learning journey.

Any Hua Yi parents please add on to share…cheers.

My girl posted to hua yi but not happy. She dont like the environment, find the school old and gloomy. Principal unimpressive on posting day, gave a short and formal address with no personal touch of welcoming the sec 1. Can anyone give feedback how is the school?

            Tks

Hello parents, school is starting in a week time.I guess is time to start letting your daughter learn to wear double layers (2 shirts) at home so that they can adapt to the heat when school starts. As heard from my dd,most girls will start wearing their uniform with a shirt (mostly pe attire) inside in secondary school. My dd is starting this practice tomorrow so wonder if any parents will agree and follow my saying. 🙂

                Hi,

Any parents with kids in Hua Yi Secondary School?

My boy posted to the school and already 3 weeks into term 1 and so far he is rather happy with his classmates and the environment.

Got into the CCA that he wants and coping well with homework so far...

School is pretty strict. Feedback from my son, so far never see any gangster student in school...even the upper Sec. student mixing around with them playing basketball. Kinda surprising to me for a neighborhood school. 😉

I am glad to hear that he is settling down well. Cheers 😄

Hi my dd is in huayi Sec 2 this year.Likes the Concert Band. But does have some complain on some teachers. They took our feedback seriously and improved on their teaching. Now my dd very motivated and did quite well for midyear exam. The school is a bit old need some repainting and change of classroom furniture.
