Hi Skyed,TTBCOOL:
Would like to check whether are there many SCGS students taking MEP (Music Elective Program) as I'm considering whether to let dd take either Third Lang or MEP? I'm a bit confused the difference between MEP & Higher Music course. Are they the same? Can someone enlighten me? TIA.
I don't know anyone taking music as an O level subject in my school.
Thanks for your reply. How about third language? Are there many taking the third language? -

I don't think there are more than 10 students taking 3rd Lang in my whole level. -

Hi Skyed,
Thanks for your reply. It seems that none takes MEP and not many taking Third Lang? Do you know why is this so ? BTW, may I know how are the teachers in SCGS and are they approachable? Do you enjoy your school life in SCGS? -

Probably because the workload once you hit sec 3 is a lot already, without 3rd Lang. There were definitely more students taking 3rd lang in lower sec, but quite a few dropped once in upper sec. The first 2 classes take a min of 9subjects, and the other classes all take 8 subjects, with the last class taking I think 7 subs.
Omg I totally love my teachers there. Esp in upper sec! Nearing Os the teachers stay back till 7pm+ to help students, and they are super dedicated and approachable. I did enjoy my time in sc, most of all in upper secmy friends and I have already planned to go back next year to \"disturb\" our teachers before release of results

Hi Skyed,
Very glad to hear that. At least, I know that my dd is in good hands under the super dedicated and approachable teachers in SCGS. -
What do I do if my third language sessions clash with the CCA timetable?
-
You can ask your 3rd Language Centre to change the day to another day.
