\"Die Die must Try\" S'porean's attitude may works!
U never know how high u can fly till u spread yr wings... :xedfingers:Just Mama:
Hi Heshiew
No harm trying... there is still some hope if you try but absolute zero hope if you dont. Even if this fails, you can tell yourself that you tried and not regret later. -

My dd 255 with HMT now want to try Duman High with 258 COP. It was not in her 6 choices cos thought she got no chance (last yr COP 260). Anyone have good advice should we go ahead?? :?
Just try la, nothing to loose. I went to DHS just now to appeal for my son. Also not in our 6 choices. DD score is 257+2. It is stated that the appeal candidates are rank by merit according to their PSLE score. If your child has special talent, need a t-score of 245. You can download the appeal form from their website or go to the school personally. Appeal close at 12 pm on 26th Dec. Have to attach the PSLE result slips & any other achievements to support your appeal application. When we went there just now, not a big crowd.
Go ahead & try. If you try, there is still a chance. Good luck. -

That was what I thought but when I rang them this morning, the staff in DHS told me that is not the case. She even encourage me to appeal for my DS. Anyway, it is stated in the appeal application that all appeal candidates are ranked by merit according to their PSLE score.hesiew:

if not in her 6 choices, I feel DH may feel 'offended' because from what I
heard, those who send in appeals to schools listed as their no.1 choice
has a higher chance bec it shows that you are really keen to go there
and not as a last minute amendment -
For appeal cases, it is up to the school how the school wants to do it.

I see, perhaps there are some changes then, but for the good. :celebrate:
So put aside all your reservations and good luck to all of you

Agree with you, but with most schools COP dropping by ~3pts, I believe some parents/kids who think they can't get in a school at 1st now realise they may stand a chance. Anyone share same emotions??
Yes, same here. MY DS t-score just meet the last yr COP of HCI (259) & we thought no chance & also worry about IP. However, after learning more about IP, I regretted not choosing an IP school for my DS. That's why I appeal to HCI last week even before the posting result is out. When I called the staff at HCI, she said chances are slim if we did not put them as any of our choices but after hearing my DS t-score, she immediately told me I should try to appeal. From there, I predicted my DS t-score meet the HCI COP this yr. So I quickly rush to HCI to appeal. Well, as parents, we usually make some mistakes in our first chid's education route cos' no experience mah. I will definitely not repeat this mistake on my DD two yrs later. High price to pay if I don't get into the 2 appeals. -

Hello parents , im a primary 6 kid who failed to get in my dream school. The COP of the school is one point above of my aggregate score. Can someone tell me what do i have to prepare and do if i want to appeal to that school? :? Oh yah , by the way , if the school's main focus subject is for example , maths , does it help if i appeal when my maths got an A*?
