Dear parents, how much pocket money do you give to your children for P1? Don’t wish to give excessive such that my son will buy unnecessary things from sch. For orientation, how many days can parents accompany their children?

White shoes + white socks (bottom soles can be grey or black).

No need to be PH socks (quality so-so only).

Think can only see the child from outside the canteen on Orientation day, not sure how many days can accompany the child inside the school.

Pocket money - I think max is $1.50 for food+drink. Any extra is likely to go to the school bookshop operator :rotflmao:

The \"I must go to the school bookshop\" mentality will persist for quite some time for all P1 newbies 😉

:offtopic: you brou along a small container of sambal chili at the BBQ. I have cleaned the container, how to pass to you? Btw, hubby loves the sambal chili, can share the recipe? :please:

Thanks for the info Jennifer. The belachan chilli is bought in city hall at Auntie Teo food stall. It’s at the basement of Adelphi.

I think I asked this qn before but have forgotten the answer already.

What time should a P3 pupil reach school? Is it 7:10am or later?

                  Thanks.

Parents can only accompany child on Day 1.

I give $2.00. $1.50 not enough for me as a decent bowl from the noodle stalls cost $1.20. The balance for emergency as my boy seldom buys drinks.

I have been praising my child for this. His purchases from the bookshop were not more than 5 items. He seldom went to the bookshop. Think I contributed more towards their income. :rotflmao:
