I think your DS T score of 223 is too far below Fairfield's 239.
Anything more than 3 points off a school's COP is highly unlikely, so I would agree as well.
My understand to appealing was u must have good record on cca or u have sibling in the school . Your chances are high. School dont look at your tscore of 1, 2 marks different24hr_mum:
has anyone appealed to Fairfield Methodist Secondary successfully? My DS didnt succeed. Can I appeal again? Any tips? His aggregate was 223 and their COP is 235.
Does anyone know anything about West Spring Secondary School? -
Where the T-score is far from the COP, then will need to see if the child excels in the school’s niche CCAs but it will also likely depend on whether there is a need from the school’s perspective. Eg, if the child is a striker but the school needs a defender, then it will be difficult.

Two of my DD's classmates appeal to Nan Hua but one was successful and the other one was rejected.
Any idea what is their t score?
The one was successful was 244 and the one was rejected was 242.
Any idea does the one that was rejected did receive call from the school? My dd's friend appealing to NH, called the school, they said too many students appealing in/out, need to wait till 31 Dec.. wondering will the school call if fail the appeal?
The school has already informed the successful one but has not called the unsuccessful classmate. The successful one has his track and field to help him for his appeal at Nan Hua High. -

The reason y nh hasnt called him is tat they r waiting for a transfer out in order to let him to get into nh. -
Hi, has any parents been accepted by the schools aft appealing?
My dd told me her friend has been accepted by ngee Ann sec,and her agg was 10 pts below the sch cop :yikes: dd's friend is only in uniform gp during primary school. Her friend said she simply got into the school when my dd probed how it was possible.
I really feel like calling the school by what selection criteria they look into the appeals. Because during the appeal exercise, the school admin discouraged us from appealing if our child's agg is >4 pts from the cop. In fact, most schools I spoke to.
And I don't really think the school has opened new classes to cater to these appeal cases, whats more, to accept 10 pts lesser that the cop. -

Perhaps, they ended up with more vacancies after students transferred out. Really difficult to know what really happens as the whole appealing/transfer process is one big musical chair.Hi, has any parents been accepted by the schools aft appealing?

But 10pts is really too much, I would love to think its the surplus vacancies, then the other schools would have movement too?
And ngee Ann is quite a popular school in the east -
Perhaps the child has a special talent and is really good at it since 10pts is just too much. Also I heard Ngee Ann has more appeal cases than the Secondary 1 cohort(for Ngee Ann) for 2013.

Could the approval be due to :-
1) medical reasons?
2) child was performing very well from p5 to p6 but psle results suddenly dropped to unexpected level? Cause of illness during psle exam?
