Oh wow so many of your kids doing 3rd Lang. Haha in my year more than half of the people who started out doing third Lang eventually dropped in sec 2/3… Like only 10 people in the level takes a third language now I think o.o

Yup. For my year, the peer leaders took us to all the ccas on a particular day (I think orientation) then we wrote our names down on the sign up list and were told when the tryout/interview was. Then supposed to turn up on that day to try out. But I think it's changed now, this year we had cca booths in the hall instead for all the ccas to congregate there. ._. A sec 2 prefect mistook me for a sec 1 and thought I was separated from my class .____. So embarrassing.

My dd’s third language is Chinese Special Programme. The classes are held on Tues and Thurs and I think CCAs are also on the same days.

My dd is taking Malay Special Program on Wed. I see the information of school hours distributed during the Reporting day, there is sth on till 3.20 pm and the third language course starts at 3.30pm.

Haha well yeah, it's called the prefectorial board after all. To be a prefect you have to be nominated by classmates and teachers, then voted in.

Can anyone advise how does Y1 find out about the CCA criteria and selection trial dates? Is the CCA prospectus already given to the Y1?

Can ask seniors.. Has SCGS had the CCA booths in the hall yet? When you're at a booth for a cca they will usually tell you when is the tryout/audition.
