homeworkmummy:
If a student transfers to another school in Sec 2, will her CCA points earned in Sec 1 be forfeited? I plan to transfer my DD to another school when she goes to Sec2 next year.

Yeah should be. Many of the scholars in my school that come from china or Vietnam their relevant points accumulated in their school were transferred over here.

Oh, can that be done? That's good to know. Do all schools practise that? I should get my daughter to start documenting her activities, then.
I don't know if all schools do that. And I don't think there's a need, the school will keep record for you. But when you do do cip have to remember to get the cip cards signed etc and submitted to be recorded.

                One for most schools.

But can easily get CCA points?
No. You can't have it both ways. Either you join a slack cca where it's difficult to get points, or you join a cca that requires energy and commitment to easily get points. You can't have your cake and eat it as well.

But can easily get CCA points?
Most importantly, join a CCA your child likes. These CCA gives little CCA points(mostly only 1 due to lack of competitions). However, he/she can join a leadership track which would definitely give that another 1 CCA point.

I think the CCA which can easily get points should be those that are very popular and do very well in Competition. My daughter in school team netball for her school and heard can get points deducted, but the time is very consuming. she has to stay back 2-3 times a week especially when competition coming

We are overseas. Do you know where I can find a description of what counts as CIP? Eg. Visiting an orphanage I presume can be counted, but what about travelling time there and back if it's in another town? What about preparation time if the kids perform skits, arrange games sessions etc?
This you have to confirm with the school. Usually most schools try to help their students in this aspect by also counting in travelling time and prep time. Btw, try to do 100h in Sec 1,2,3 so that in Sec 4 just do the minimum 7h so you can concemtrate on studies. Some of my friends had to skip school this year to attend famine camp for 30hours because they really did not have enough points.
