Grade A for all subjects. Biomedical science with Honours at Uni.
That's great. But for jc entry into uni, need to count how many subjects. Is it a must to count GP???? ( I dont think I will even get A for gp if i go jc..because my english is very average as compared to others...
So how did you perform in your A level??? Which course did you get in Uni??Serene1234:
Hello everyone, just want to share a little of my own experience. I completed my O levels and A levels years ago. For O levels, I scored a respectable single digit for 6 subjects, made my way into a good JC. I was very happy at that time :imcool: My nightmare started in JC when I suddenly realized that there were so many students with 6 in total for 6 subjects. Competition was so stiff within the JC. It was very stressful for me and many others. There was no doubt a big jump from O levels to A levels :yikes:
I didn't study much for O levels and the exams was a breeze to me. I merely read solution books not doing the questions actually. I do not advise my students to do that because I know not everyone can study in that way.
When I was in JC 1, my grades ranged from B to E. E was the passing grade. I was studying everyday and yet my grades were so bad. Look around at the others all the same boat. Obviously things slowly improved for most of us, but it was blood and sweat. Comparing O levels and A levels, A levels was tough though in the end I survived n made it to Uni. :rahrah: I'm sharing these so that for those at cross roads, make a wise choice.
If you want to do A levels, make sure u slog and do not give up!
Do not get too anxious about ur O level results. What's done cannot be undone! Just move forward no matter what results you get! :grphug: -

A normal JC student takes GP, MT, PW, and 3H2 + 1H1. The max university admission score is 90. Each H2 subject is worth 20 points if you get an A. Each H1 subject is worth 10 points. MT is not necessary in calculating university admission score. Eg if you get an A for GP, PW and your 4 content subjects, it's 10 + 10 + 20 + 20 + 20 + 10 = 90 = perfect uni admission score. -
Actually, if i went to jc ,i just mug for whole day to get A in GP, but that means I will certainly have no life in I went to a jcโฆ

Relax :imcool: enjoy before you go to JC! -
How to relax? I have almost nothing to do other than gaming. Plus my heart is full of trepidation that the olevel result is going to be released.

I thought it's monday too. But apparently several schools have announced 10th to students. Even though MOE haven't confirmed. And most of the JC open houses are on the 9th (ACJC, VJC, NJC) and some more on the 11th. I think results are on the 10th. -
nah results arenโt on the 10th. if not today they already say its 10th lol. so stressed T_T
