we also survived 1st day of school. i was also the one excited and anxious :nailbite: . im not a morning person so waking up at 5:30 will continue to be my struggle all throughout primary school :snooze: . DD also kept on waking up the night before school because maybe she thought it's already 6am and she don't want to be late for school. DH was so sweet to take time off y'day to take her to school, see her during recess and fetch her. he also woke up early today to take her to school. really appreciate him doing this with me as he know it's also difficult for me
.
i actually have no worry with DD adjusting well in school. within 3mins of leaving her in the P1 assembly area, she was already talking to the one beside her. she can easily chat with other kids don't need to keep an eye on mommy and daddy. i was actually worried that teacher will scold :spank: her because she talk too much and always overly excited.
:salute: to everybody for this new milestone in our kid's life

my boy complained that a lot of time were spent sitting down!! lol.
he said it is very tiring to sit down all the time.
his favourite time is recess because he gets to eat!
his best friend (2nd day only!) is a boy he met on the bus..but both of them are in different class, so he was a bit down when they had to split up to go to different rows to queue up after alighting from the bus (reach school).
what lunch did you prepare for your kids if afternoon session? -
how about ur kid’s teeth?

Hi all,
I had a "tiring" week as I fell ill with flu & fever since 30 Dec, and just recovered yesterday. DS2 was OK at school too but its the school bus arrangement as we had a new bus operator.
DS2 boarded the bus at 1105am, got to school by 1215hrs, but school bus reached home at Toh Guan at 8pm !!! there were few more kids in the bus. Poor kids. DS2 knocked out right after dinner and shower. In bed by 845pm… in future got homework how? I gotta assure him that these are hiccups on first few days only. Today, it got better, reached at 735pm… but we are still gonna feedback to the school. Overall, he enjoyed the school and his class and that’s what matters most.
Have a good rest this weekend, parents… for next week they are alone ( without buddies )… -

Thats pretty late! Is it normal to spend an hr or more in school bus? or traffic condition and distance plays a huge part? I feel schools should restrict size of bus and no of kids in each bus, so traveling time will be decreased considerably.

Sweet baby, it's normal. The bus driver said he may cut down some routes, but we may have to fork out more to cover his loss.... Sigh.

Oh dear. How early did your older boy leave for school everyday?
-
Oh dear. My boy does not seem to enjoy school. He said a lot of time spent sitting down in the hall to listen to talks about school rules. He gets restless easily and because so far he can control his behavior in school, he acts up at home, demanding attention from me. His favourite period is recess! Lol.
I hope it gets better when lesson starts next week. -
