All About Home Addresses

Hi all, my daughter is due for P1 registration for 2014.
I want to register her in a school under P2B, but we are within 1-2Km. In case the school is too hot and we have no chance in P2B.
Can I use another address to register in P2C for 2nd school? I have another house for renting right now which 2nd school is within 1KM. If the balloting is sucessful, we will move to the house near the school.
Is it workable? -

How are you going to change the address in your NRIC within such a short time?Hi all, my daughter is due for P1 registration for 2014.

Change IC Address is not a problem, i think. Last time when I moved house, it took only me 10min to change address in the neighbourhood police office.

changing to an address that one is not staying is a statutory offence.

It's not the time spent changing the address in your NRIC at the Neighbourhood Police Post I was referring to.
How are you going to convince anyone that you stay in the second address when it has been rented out? You need documentary evidence to prove that you stay there and like what tankee said, changing address to a place where you do not stay in a statutory offence. -
But if she leaves the 2nd house empty (no tenants), is it believable then? Can say it is a summer villa...
So maybe just end the lease on that 2nd house by May or so?
Then make sure you move into that house if successful. -

This is what I meant, the leasing period is due in 2 months, just before the registration and of course I don't intend to rent out again. If my girl get in the 2nd school, i will definately move in that house for the schooling convenience.
Big hope is to get in first school and no need moving house  -
Can i used my in-laws address when apply for P1 registration? The school is only less than 1km from her place.

Take note of eligibility.
Also, if you declare SD, you are considered to be 1-2km even if the address is physically within 1km. -
yes do a statutory declaration but will be consider as 1 to 2 km category
