Thanks Janet. Will definitely look into tat.

Means dryer doesn't have output of water? so they juz need power connection?

There should be a outlet for hot air release.

You can place the outlet tube at a window.
My dryer does not have a outlet tube... Condenser type of dryer (not sure of name) by Ariston.

The problem I have when using my dryer... I set to 2 hour cycle and then check off and on whether dry. Usually takes about 2 hours to dry. But noticed t-shirts get slightly shorter.... Now, afraid to use for other clothing. What am I doing wrong? :?:

Love to use dryer for towels. It gets nice and soft. No issue for quilts - I think heat from dryer will help kill germs. How to use for t-shirts and other clothing??? :?: :?:

i have a semi-auto washing machine too...that one is to wash floor rugs. no way am i going to brush and scrub. dump the floor rugs into the machine, put in half cup bleach and voila....my floor rugs are white and clean !!!

        Janet,

What is this semi-auto washing machine like? Does it mean you have 2 washing machines? How do you connect it to 2 water taps? Won't 2 machines take up space?

I am also thinking of having a separate washer to clean rugs. Hate to scrub like you. But no space and no extra tap in the utility area.

Can share how you do it?

I need to know too. I have 2 washing machines - intended to use one for clothes and the other for household items. But still stuck with using just one as I could not figure out how to connect the other to the tap.

Yes, I like this idea of having 2 washing machines - one for clothes and another for rugs. The problem is space.

My sis-in-law actually uses her washing machine for laundry and rugs. I don’t really like this.

              I have 2 inlets.
However, the 8kg machine is permanently attached to the inlet. As for the semi-auto, I put it in the toilet...which should not be the case. No choice since I have no space...have to be careful when washing.

My semi-auto serves the purpose of washing floor rugs...no way am I going to scrub every week. I dump the floor rugs in, put 1/2 cup of bleach. Wash and rinse 2 rounds. Spin and that's it.

Why do you call it semi-auto? Is it any different from the normal washing machine?

semi-auto machine is split into 2…wash tub and spin section is different, so you would need to transfer the wet clothes manually into the spin tub.

i bought the semi-auto first…used to hand-wash clothes and then spin dry to hang up…not long after, bought the top load machine as it would be a torture to wash bed sheet/towels.

Anyone watched the recent episode on home renov on ch8, hosted by mark lee and Calvin soh - dream home project? One segment shared about how we could recycle old towels and turned them into dish washing rugs (save money on sponge). Do you think it will work?
