      Hi all,

Take note that the 2013 Timetable is out here: http://www.hci.sg/admin/timetable2013/term1/students/ . Do note that it could be just a draft, so it's not final.
Btw, does anyone know what does the subject acronyms means?
This is my interpretation, is it correct?

      ELL - English & Literature
      MA - Math
      LSS - Lower Secondary Science
      CF - Chinese?
      IF - ??
      MU - Music
      PRP - ??
      Blank means recess?

      How about social studies? Geography?

If my DS does not have 3rd language, does it mean the schools ends at 1.30pm everyday? Of course, there'll 2 days of CCA.

Yup the acronyms stated above are correct. IF stands for Infocomm. Infocomm for Sec 1 is either C++ programming by KohKT or Web/Design Training by Kent Cheong. After two terms the classes will swop teachers, so C++ classes will learn web/design and vice versa. As for PRP I'm not sure, but those are optional afternoon classes so those who are involved would know. Yes, blank means recess.

For lower secondary Humanities, History and Geography are split up into two semesters. For the Sec 1s this year, they start with History first. In my case (Aphelion consortium, I'm in 2A2 this year), the Sec 1 History teacher will teach for 2 terms while the Sec 2 Geography teacher will teach for 2 terms as well, before switching levels and teaching Geography and History respectively. So each teacher gets Sec 1 Hist. -> Sec 2 Geog. or the other way 'round. There's no social studies for lower sec.

So for Humanities, it'll be the same teacher for 1 subject in 2 years, teaching 2 terms in Sec 1 & 2 terms in Sec 2. šŸ˜„

I can't remember where I read from. It's from 1 of the material given to the boys during the orientation.

Normal days - 7.20am. If after 7.20am, consider as late.
Normal days with bad weather - latest by 7.30am. If after 7.30am, consider as late.

Oh yes, now that u mention, think I read it somewhere too. So next Monday reporting at 7.10am is an exception.

Hi,how many students are there in HCI sec 1 2013?

What is the proportion of GEPers and mainstream?
Are students allocated to class based on their PSLE score?
