Silverhorse. Your older boyvery independent.I am just starting to train mine.not that he is not capable. But just my heart not strong enough to let go yet! Lol ! And I can still recall the grandparents reaction when they found out that I instructed him to go downstairs to buy lunch during holidays.

Oh dear. My boy does not seem to enjoy school. He said a lot of time spent sitting down in the hall to listen to talks about school rules. He gets restless easily and because so far he can control his behavior in school, he acts up at home, demanding attention from me. His favourite period is recess! Lol.

I hope it gets better when lesson starts next week.
        Hi Jedamum

Think it's quite normal for children to demand more attn from us now because they may be \"stressed\" in one way or another due to this new phase.

My DS2 has some difficulty waking up in the morning and on the 3rd day, also did show a bit of his unhappiness. However once he reached school, he was ok. I am also hoping that it gets better when he is used to the routine.

Attended a briefing session in his school and was told that the first 3 days, no formal lesson but has to orientate the children, how to queue up, etc.

Hopefully all the P1 children will get used to the school routine soon.

But these few days he has been coming into my bedroom in the middle of them night telling me how much he love and miss me. Then squeeze into my bed.the dad could not get a good night sleep and still need to work the next day.
So I have two cranky person at home! Lol.

Same here..noticed he kept putting his fingers in his mouth, biting his fingers or biting the 'spring' theat attached to the wallet during the three orientatn days...asked him why cos he does not hv such habits. He said he is bored. I noticed during the three days his mind was 'wandering' in school. I tink all the 'sit down, keep quiet' instructed by the teachers were all boring..he was not engaged at all unlike in the kindy days. The only time he enjoys is recess cos that is where he can exercise his freedom to buy n eat wat he want. I oso hope next week, he will begins to like his primary sch days more.

                  Oh yes, dino mummy!

My boy also put dirty fingers in his mouth! He said tongue itchy.
When they arrive in school via school bus, they have to assemble and wait in canteen until teacher come and get them. I saw he was so bored when I went to see him on day 2. So I pack an activity sheet for him to do on day 3 Ann he was so happy. It also served as an icebreaker as his classmates joined him in the word search.
I need to prepare many more for more days to come till he gets more acquainted with his classmates.:-)

Mine assembled in the hall..while waiting for the national anthemn etc to start, they have to take out a book to read. That, he has no prob keeping himself entertained. The sch organised telematch for the first three days..the class were in the hall waiting for the matches to start etc..that was whr he was bored. They juz sat there and listen to instructions. While waiting for their turns or other classes to finish the race, they cant walk around and talk too much and they cant read cos they din bring anything to the hall, so mine, either looked ard the hall, ceiling, or biting his fingers. Fri was ultimate, even bite the springy thing. I dun noe wat he did in classroom cos we were not allowed to go in or watch. But i heard feedback from DS1 friends who r perfects helping out in the orientatn saying he din pay attention to the prefects who were teaching the class some activitites.
I m expecting complaints from teachers..

6am now. But comes back by public bus.

Wow, p1 is already so independent. So envy.
