My son PSLE this year! Start to stress... He is in class 6N1 normal student. I didn't let him do much during his school holidays, thought it's gg to be stress this year so give him a break. Not sure how to help him prepare his PSLE. He starts to panic now...Any tips how to prepare for his PSLE?

May I ask who is the form teacher for this year's 6N1 ?
Anyway, teachers teaching p6 would have all the experience and expertise to prepare the students for psle.

Mrs Chan Khue Hiang is their form teacher. I think she should be quite a responsible teacher...the way my son told me about her. But I'm not sure how to help my son at home. He usually hand in his teacher's homework on time but if I asked him to do my homework...he just can't be bother...and I must be there with him all the time. Nowadays I can't help him much cos the questions are getting tougher n tougher so I send him for tuition lesson - Eng n Maths. But I think he is not learning...he goes bcos we want him to go...he hand in homework on time bcos he feels that no choice must hand in...I'm just very lost n not sure how to motivate him.

Read through 143 pages of forum abt Rulang. Read a lot about mindless drilling for top classes for upper primary especially P6 R and U classes for last two years comments; not much for last year. How is the situation now ? Still carry on with mindless drilling??

Haha. Like the phrase \"mindless drilling\". Sometimes, I wonder if doing more is good for the children.

From what I heard from my friends, I know that a number of teachers teaching the top classes in various schools pile them with lots of homework. Is this the way to go? I really wonder.

Personally, I prefer quality over quantity. But as parents, we also know that teachers probably don't have time to look through the questions and tell the pupils to do selected questions only. It is easier for them to tell the pupils to do ALL the questions. But is it really necessary?

                    Hi Shu,

My son went to this adventure camo last year when he was in P4. He enjoyed it very much, as they did some obstacles courses and adventure games, like flying fox.... you can check out the vendor's website.
Foodwise, he said it's horrible. but then again, he is not a foodie. I think for trying out independence, just let your child attend. The kids had lots of fun, though son said some cried due to homesickness. But when he came back from camp, he was too exhausted. slept the entire day and could not go to school the next day...( was still exhausted).
