Jush, yes! I saw the email too! Yay! finally everything is clarified.
Looks like we have to buy at least one more set of PE attire since even weeks they must wear for 4 days. I guess on odd weeks, it's HE in class.
I did not let my dd wear PE attire yesterday as she was running a slight fever the day before but felt better yesterday. So I wrote a note (on bright pink paper!) to the FT to excuse her from physical activity if any. And also asked abt the WBR.
Mine does not have spelling list either. I wish they were more consistent across the P1 classes...but I guess that can't be helped.
I have not submitted the BIG art file. My dd also did not mention about it. Should I just let her bring to school?
Anyway, I'm glad my dd enjoys school very much so far and is making friends though she can't seem to remember their names! haha!
Btw, do you mummies pack food for your dd's recess? Or let them buy from canteen? -

Hello friends! :rahrah:
My girl is in P1 this year.
Anybody living in yishun? -
Hi all,
Oh, seems like only my gal got the spelling list. The spelling words are all from the big books that were taught in class. I think the first big book was Ms Wishy-washy, about animals if i am not wrong. Each week, there are 10 words and need to check the meanings of the words.
My gal bought the big black file on the 3rd day of school and the teacher kept it in school. Whatever she brings to school, she didn’t bring back again except the chinese course book.
Does your gal take 12nn snacktime? My gal brought back the bread since day 1. She said that the teacher never ask them to eat and realise that she drunk very little water nowsadys.
Just to check what do you buy for Art lesson? My gal said that everyone has a Block Book except her. I show her the Drawing Block and ask her is it what she is referring to but she said that it’s smaller and pink cover. Any idea what is it? -
bobianah,
yes we pack food for dd for recess and 12nn snack, to avoid the long queue at the canteen and also she is a picky eater.
am actually considering to learn the art of bento boxes? am going to daiso on saturday to buy bento tools and start experimenting at least 1 day per week .. I joined the PSG and will try to propose that we organise a bento making session... HPB actually organised one last year

xrisgoh,
how come it seems i dont have that Mr Wishy Washy book? will check later..she also dont have a spelling list yet (i check her diary and bag each night)...
my dd also takes the 12nn snacks (but dont finish it).. she also drinks less, so after school I usually call her from office to remind her to drink a glass of water (also joke her that I can see her from office hehehehe!)...
for art lesson,, we have the big black file, the drawing block (A3 size), sketch book (black cover), and that \"white board with a pink cover\"....all included in the package I bought from the bookshop... -
Hi indu,
:welcome: Which class is your dd in? -
Hi…
Today she wrote in the diary that her spelling will be on 21/1 & tingxie 18/1.
We don have that book. It is oni taught in school but i saw her worksheet so i know about the story. Any idea wat is RE/LS in the time table? Wat to bring for social studies?
Is the drawing block pinkcover? Now she want to buy from school tmr. She say she ask her teacher why to buy. -
Re is some sort of bible class for Christain/Catholic pupils and LS is life skills.

Hi mummies!
Just a quick feedback on sch buses issues, I didn’t knw there is Pte buses other than appointed ones by the school. I see mini buses n vans with no assistant on board.
Do remind your gals to stay seated throughout the ride hm as I see many gals standing up talking n playing on the moving bus. (fm the height of the gals i sAw, they shd belong to upper level) safety 1st!
I pack bento on alternAte days for my gal as I hope she can try to buy food on her own. I prepare bite size sandwiches for her break time.
During 1st 2 days in sch, I see many upper level gals still bringing their bento to sch for recess and have picnic style recess with their pals which I find it interesting! I think it’s a better way as they save the time queuing and have more quality time talking to their friends. -
Quick question. Today my gal came back and said they have to bring a green pen that can erase for corrections. Any idea what this is? I am clueless we have such pens?
