I rec’d a notification letter from the school that they’re allow to use e-dictionary. May I know which Chinese E-dictionary will you/have you bought for P5 ? and will you bring them to sec open hse this year??

I had a good talk with my child before school started. We had plans about being more serious this year ... blah blah blah ... need to crank up the engine ... more blah blah. Until now the engine is still cold. :rotflmao:

We are using a besta small dictionary that I got from kiasuparents auction years back! Lol. Not sure if we should upgrade to a more powerful one as a dictionary is only as useful as its master’s abilities! Lol

We intend to go open house this year if time permits . Just me and son. The dad is goes with whichever decision both of us make.

Thanks jedemum and NY for your quick reply. I'm too using the 词典 (Chinese to English and English to Chinese type) as DS is really not so keen on Chinese language :frustrated: .


As for the e-dictionary, school recommended \"creative\" and I thought is good to ask around the mummies here. We're also being notified that P5 allows to use this 做文章 as they're required to write high level of 作文. :slapshead:

Guess in the market only Besta and Creative. Will check it out soon.

My DD1 will be taking PSLE in 2014, DS2 PSLE in 2015 and DD3 PSLE in 2017 and they are in elite school. Will be very stressful and busy for next 4 years before i can take a break. Was told P5 work is very heavy, so is tuition necessary? During last year parents meeting, the teacher had already informed us in advance to expect all their marks to drop this year? Am full time working mum with this three kids, hardly have time to coach time.

I was told to expect marks to drop as much as 10marks across the board for most children. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. :xedfingers:


But I will never tell my boy this. :evil:
