      Hi Astee

Thanks for informing me abt the various forms; it helps me to ensure DS gives us all the forms...haha

Sure, I assume you are staying in AMK area? I can pass you some samples. I'll PM you to arrange 🙂

My DD is in 1A but I have not seen any PTM form or SFE form. Should I check with the school?

          Hi Beauty

My 1B DS got the Meet the parents letter on tues together with the time table. Got some details about 25 jan n to RSVP. No SFE letter so probably think the course not applicable for P1 parents… Since still a few weeks away, maybe u wait till next Mon then check as teachers work differently. Some classes got time table on first day of sch but DS received on 5th day.
Hey by the way DS was telling me a child came over asking his Chinese teacher to go over 1A as the teacher in that class was attending to an injured child who fell n bled on Wed. I was like huh … ’ fall until so serious?'

            Hi Beauty79,

Yes, i believe PTM is for all levels, so the parents get the chance to know their kid's 2013 FTs.

As for the SFE event, Ninjago is correct - it's for P3 to P6 parents. 😄

@Ninjago, oh dear, hope the affected child was not too seriously hurt. Yes, kids of these schooling ages are hyper-active and some will challenge the limit. Sigh...we just have to constantly remind our DS/DD to be careful in their daily activities in school.

              Hi,

              i am a new member here .
my girl is in 1D … currently i am facing a problem …
think my girl is having separation anxiety every morning .
She will start to tear when we reaches school .
This morning , the principal even had to pull her away .
I’m not sure how long this will last or if i need to highlight to her form teacher .
She also doesnt seem to like to form teacher who looks quite fierce .

              anyone got such problem ?

                Hi Ninjago,

Wow, a drama at the school. Hope the kid is all right. Agree with Astee, kids this age is fearless and active. If it is boy, I think a few scratches here and there build character :-). DS1 once fell backward from a piano bench during a music lesson (not at primary school ) and has to be carried in an ambulance to hospital. Haha. He often talked of the rare experience.

My teo boys already received their time table on the first day of school. But they were told that it is a tentative timetable. Not sure if they are ready to give out the official one yet.

                Hi Mao,

Welcome to the forum. Glad that you found us and willing to share with us your pain and joy of being a parents. Did your girl go to a kindergarten or childcare before P1 and did she behave same way there? If she has not attended per-school before then it will take few days or weeks for her to get used to the separation. But if you think she is showing unusual separation anxiety, then I would suggest you talk to the form teacher to find out if there is some reason that might have caused it. The school may be able to help her to feel more at ease in the new environment. Hope this help.

                  Hi Rejoice

she went to Kindergarten before her P1 and enjoyed very much … She loves her teachers and friends there .
we were surprised that she behaves this way … its sad to see her cry and afraid to go to school every morning …

we will talk to her teacher if necessary …

                  thanks for your advice!

                    Hi rejoice

My DS also fell from piano stool n scared the young piano teacher. But both laughed over it as their piano room has carpet floor 🙂
DS said the 1A boy got blood at his shirt back but no ambulance and all the 1B kids just went over with their Chinese teacher to peek at 1A.

                    Hi Mao
Welcome. I had your same experience 2 yrs back in N2 when I intro a new childcare to DS. All the smooth ongoing music n Chinese lessons went haywire after I changed his childcare. I used to be able to leave him in classroom and go. But with the change, he refused to let me go out of sight. I was like a big giant in the class of kids. I believe is sense of security. I talk to teacher in front of him to show my trust in the teacher. When he cries, I just smile at teacher, wish him a good day and let teacher bring him away.
You can chat with her daily and ask her how she feels about incidents in school. Role play with her if she is in certain situations. Like I role play with my DS on buying food in canteen, approaching and making friends. He always tells me he says hello but the other person don respond. So I will explain maybe teacher is talking and they don want to be scolded or they are shy - try again or talk to others.... Needs patience and support to help her move on....
