Can anybody explain to me what is meant by \"partial\" ?

      Much appreciated

it means that the cut-off point equal to one's net score. so some of the students get in, some do not. it'll be safer if students get below the cut-off point because it will more or less guarantee the student a place in the school.

You stand a chance, but not very big. Just try, why not?

I've achieved 7 points (nett) for my O levels. I am really really keen on going to TJC, however, I'm one point short from its science cut-off point. Anyone know of TJC's appeal system?

Hi I can give u my opinion and tips.

                  1. Put TJC as ur first choice. This will really show them how earnest you are in wanting to get into TJC.

                  2. Get LOTS of recommendation letters. CCA teacher, Form teacher, leadership teacher incharge (if u have any)

                  3. It will really help if you are in a sports CCA. if you are in a performing arts cca or a club, the chances of getting in is lower.

                  4. You could write a letter to TJC about how much you want to get in and why. Show your sincerity.

Source: I did my research as i wanted to appeal to VJC. gave up on that thought as im 2 points away. therefore i’m putting TJC as my first choice.

Is it possible to appeal with a sport I’m not in?
