Hello. I’m new and I need help here. For O levels i received a RAW of 9 and after bonus points, i got 7.

        English - B3
        CH - A1
        E math - A1
        A math - A1
        Chem - A1
        Phy - A2
        Bio - A2
        Chinese - B3

Personally i am very disappointed with my results, especially my english and biology because i was expecting an A1. Could u guys help me with my dilemma please?

I’m keen on going to Temasek Junior College as my house i very near (I stay near expo) but i’m one point off their cut off for science stream, and my appeal does not fulfill their criteria. I was thinking of appealing anyway though.

Also, i am quite keen on SJI’s IB program but i do not know of their cut off score and its quite far.

My other choices are Mjc, Nanyang, St Andrews and Anderson. However, distance is a problem as my health condition is not very good.

Do advise!!! Thank you guys so much!!!

Yes, English is the first tie breaker. That's definitely true. Then HMT I think, since they said L1 is very important. As for number of A1s, I can't say conclusively that it's true, because MOE just said was that they look at the grades of the other subjects. They didn't specify if it was all subjects or what. Only when every single thing is the same, then it'll be by random.

Hi, can someone provide me with some advice?>< I got 9points raw and 5 points nett, I am undecided between tjc and njc:( I am not considering distance cus distance is not exactly a problem. I am interested to know more abt the culture and environment of each sch to make up my mind>< hmm I am currently more interested in tjc as I went to the openhouse and really liked the sch. I didn’t go for the nj one so I’m not sure abt the culture and stuff:( I would really appreciate if someone can tell me more abt both schs! Thanks!!(:

Eg. two students appealing for last spot, assuming both got 5 nett, 7-2 is given more priority than 8-3 or 9-4.

I'm not in TJ, but this is what I heard from friends who are there. Good: Teachers are caring and offer a great deal of academic help. The environment is quite conducive and comfortable (I'm actually surprised at this haha because I went to the school before and it seemed like such a crammed place). TJ is strong in science.

Bad: Academic rigour and tests are harder than VJ. Ok I don't know why this is a point of comparison, but yes my friend said that. Econs and gp in TJ are quite bad. There's sec 1 now as well, so the school rules have changed slightly to become more strict.

What do you mean O level students like you? There will be ~250 O level students in HC and RI.

Put njc as first choice (so you will get a higher chance at appealing), if you don't get into nj (cause the cut off is partial five), you will still get into tjc anyways.

u can always try SJI IB as your first choice if u r keen on the program, their cut off would probably be quite close to ACS(I) which is 5
