If the objective is to prevent buyers from getting into serious financial problems later such as unable to service their loan in case the interest rates go up etc.. then it shd be effective.

If the objective is to bring down the price.. it may have no impact. Anyway, controlling price is never the primary consideration of the cooling measures isn't it?

Don't know why they think this can ever worked. The demand is there, so that's not changed. By doing such measures, only two things can happen: price continue to increase, or market will crash. :?

The demand is there.. but those who can barely afford and higher chance of getting into financial difficulties could be discouraged or prevented from entering.

And that is what the govt is trying to do isn't it?

If you had the chance to go back to high school again, knowing what you know now, would you?

....why supermarket sells 'less sweet' ribena concentrate. We can just make our drink more diluted using the regular concentrate, won't it then taste less sweet?

Why \"reduced sugar\" foodstuffs cost even more than \"normal\"...
cant they priced them the same or less ?? ( eg, reduced sugar soya milk)
Not very logic to consumers esp during that period when the price of sugar climbed up.

Is reducing sugar content \" a difficult task in manufacturing\" ??

Study harder in high school and uni, probably. I still did pretty well despite being lazy and only studying when I had to for exams. Makes me wonder how it would have panned out if I did all my readings and studied diligently all year. Also, I would take different subjects in high school. Why on earth did I take maths, accounting and chemistry when I was completely rubbish at all things numerical? Why didn't I take classical studies and history instead? It would have been a much more enjoyable year!

I guess even with perfect results I still wouldn't have been a brain surgeon or lawyer, as English was the only thing I ever wanted to do, and it doesn't pay much! I do enjoy my job a lot more than friends who studied pharmacy and accounting and work in those industries, so I guess job satisfaction counts for something!
