During the P1 parents’ briefing last yr, I vaguely remembered a presentation on Chi subject, one area was on the 3 levels of chi taught, basic (I can’t remember the term used), normal chi and HCL. May I know, does the differentiated learning starts in lower or upper primary ? Thanks.

Hi Mummy, the P1 Parent Briefing mentioned here - isit the one conducted on the Pri One's orientation day? (16Nov or something)., coz I cant recalled they briefed abt the subjects.

I've been waiting for the P1 Briefing to be conducted this month (26-Jan).I understand from other schools that the parents have been briefed on all the acroynms on the timetable and wat to expect in P1 - so am worried why HWS is taking such a long time, esp when official lesson commenced this week.

            Thanks!

No. The P1 parents' briefing is the one conducted after orientation.

Don't worry. Last year's parents' briefing was conducted about 1 month after school starts. I prefer it this way becos by then I have more qns to ask. 😉

P1 is ok, enjoy. Most work will be done in school. The exception will be show and tell (Eng and Chi), Read Out Loud ( or is it read aloud, can't remember, Chi and Eng), tingxie and spelling, whereby parents will guide a bit. There will be practice show and tell before the real graded one for Eng. There's even practice maths test before the actual mini test. So P1 is pretty guided, a honeymoon even. 😄

There's report book though after term 2 and term 4.

For P1 parents: And oh, there are only 3 PTMs - term 1,2 and 3. No PTM for term 4.

I quite sure got 3 leh - have to arrange leave mah. And yes, was surprised first year that there wasn't any ptm in term 4. Either it's that it's too late to work with the child or perhaps it's not worth all the queries why child results so high/so low. but I'm only guessing. Never did ask teachers why this is so also.

I also recall only 2 times meeting teachers. The first time was during orientation. Then twice with appointment timing.
