OTOH, the books are pretty expensive, especially for J/F/G.

any one to share how student/s taking 'O' level in RGS? I mean in papers it mentioned that national swimmer Quah Ting Wen just completed hers.

I heard Ting Wen has been offered a scholarship by UCLA, the school needs her to take her o levels to show that she is able to handle the academic in the uni.
So far, only RI and HCI has 'o' level classes at Sec 4.

I counted students in the S1 namelist yesterday, there were total 91 student from RGPS, above 20% of total new S1 students.

My daughter said that 18 of them from her class 6E in RGPS.

It's so nice to be surrounded by friends from her primary school. For NYPS, majority of those who joined RGS are GEPers, only a handful, including my daughter are Mainstreamers.

Any idea if they must be in their PE T-shirt & culotte on 29 Dec? I'm a bit puzzled there is no Biology text book in their booklist. Also, the Art set, which was lablled as compulsory & cost almost $80 consists of items like scissors, hole puncher, ruler, glue, pen knife, sharperner & other stuff that I would not have purchased had I more time to scrutinise the list. According to an existing student, they did not make use of those stuff this year! :x

I did a quick count from the sec1 namelist at RGS this morning. There is about 30 students from NYPS joining RGS next year. May I know any of the Kiasuparent members' daughter is from NYPS?


I understand the number of students from NYPS joining the following schools are as follows:-

NYGH >60
RI 54
HCI 45
RGS 30

More girls are joining NYGH as compared to RGS (half), I think that is due to affiliation of Nanyang to NYGH right?

Any affiliation for Nanyang Primary students to HCI ?

I bought stationery and art material (whole set) at RGS yesterday, and bought some textbooks at popular bookstore. yes, there is no biology textbook in the list, how do you know that RGS will teach biology in S1?

I will purchase RGS school uniform this Saturday at Bibi & Baba Orchard road. my daughter will be RGS in PE T-shirt & culotte on 29 Dec 09.
