Thank you for all the comments. Anyone with kids in Innate Montessori/ Learning Ladder? Probably sending my gal to one of them, but stil undecided.

Snowyqueen - Read that your gal learns ballet at Methodist School of Music. Do they have class for 3-4 yr old n is the class good? Hope to start my gal on ballet next year..

      Thank you in advance!
Hi, my friend sent her kid to innate montessori early this year in Jan. She pulled out in a month time as she felt that there was lack of interaction between the school and parents. The parents do not have any idea what they are teaching and the principal was not friendly. Heard from her than the chinese teacher is good but she is only doing morning session. Not sure what has progressed then from there and any changes since then.

My friend then transferred her kid to Early years Montessori in Clementi and she has noticed a lot of positive change in her kid. She loves the school and highly recommend the school. Hence you may wish to take a look and do your own comparison before you decide.

As for me, my child is now in Early years Montessori and i am a satisfy parent. 😉

hee, Mrs Yang (Principal of BPMC Kin) should tk me for promoting the sch!
          Atan,
I met up with Mrs Yang early this week and yes, she is a nice lady. 🙂
I'm quite surprised that they have a proper canteen too.
While i like the school's cozy compound, i am abit concern about whether there is a fire escaped route and any fire drills.
Guess I have to check out with her again. 🙂

              Hi Jedamum,

On BPMC, it has music room and other activity rooms too. After sending my son to private child care (cost around $400 for half day) and getting poor care w miserable food, etc., in a confined space, I was pleasantly suprised and pleased with BPMC after the first visit. prior to that, I had also visited 2 montessori in my area and was not v impressed.

As the kindergarten is funded by church, it is not run based on sheer profits and w lots of TLC, so I have been v happy with the kindergarten.

                Hi Minchia,

Maybe u want to send ur kid to the kiddiewinkie place? Just next to newton hawker and opps cairnhill CC. Btw, my girl attending full day care there and she loves to go school. The school provide good environment and courses for all kids including basic japanese.

Hope u can find ur preference soonest.

                cheers!

my son in N2 St. Jo Kindergarten, i love the school environment.

not confined to an air-con room, that’s the last things kids need…
Will continue him untill K2, a relax teaching style is not a problem actually, i want my son to enjoy school rather than forcing him to school everyday.
P1 is near, better let kids enjoy before loads of homework arrive!!

Anyone with children in Canossian Convent Kindergarten? It’s on a hilltop and is not visible from the main road. Chanced upon it while driving around. The setting is very serene. How are the teachers there? Is it a ‘writing’ kindy or a more relaxed one like St Jo?

                      Hi Socks,

I only heard about the Catholic Kindy after my son entered BPMC. Acc to an 'old' resident of hillview (whom I met at playgd sometime ago), it is a v popular kindergarten in the Upp Bt Timah area, which accept kids for K1 & k2 only. I drove there one day and felt that it was so out of this world, like 'sound of music'kind of scenery. I have not checked further and am also curious what this chuch kindy offer 😄

when i did the registration early this afternoon, Mrs Yang was attentive enough to offer a few toy cars to occupy my 6yr old while i fill in the form. 🙂 i do hope that that kind of 'extra-mile' thoughts are extended to the teaching staff as well.
Looking forward to my younger boy starting PreN in Term 3 next year. 😄
