Hi wmd,
This year's average at RGPS is 233.xxPoonie:
Considering every year about 70 girls end up in RGS and another 25-30% go to NYGH it may be true that this year about 140 girls obtained >265 is possible. As for >270.............could be true if the overall standard has been pulled up by the 'difficult' math paper.
Does anyone know if this year's average at RGPS is still 235? Hope it is higher this year.
Can you share with us the T-score of the top 15 girls in RGPS? Are they are GEPers? You mentioned in another thread that there are 90 RGPS students joining RGS. Do you mean that at least 90 of RGPS' students scored a T-score of at least 260? How many of the 90 are from the mainstream? How many of RGPS got in via DSA? Thanks. -
Top 15 in RGPS:
286,28X,28X,280,279,278,
9 student got 277, including my daughter. (12 of them from GEP class, 3 from mainstream, 1 from 6E (277, my daughter), 2 from 6F (277)
In 6E class: average score:262, about 18 students in 6E join RGS this year. -

There is some inaccuracy. Top 15: 286,283, three 282s, two 280s, 279, seven 277s.Top 15 in RGPS:

Hi RGPS parents
I have some questions here. Hopefully someone can help.
I am considering RGSP or SCGS in a few years time for my girl. I'm more keen in RGSP but the school does not have affiliation like SCGS. Can anyone shed some light in their average PSLE T-score? Do they generally perform well enough to go to the top schools? From what I gathered, the admission score to the top secondary schools are about 255 onwards.

Dear all RGPS parents,
Need your kind help. For those of you with P1/P2 kids taking school bus to RGPS, based on your experience, what is the average time the school bus will arrive at the school ?
If for example the school bus reach the school at around 12.20pm, however the pm session will only start at 1pm, how will your girls spend the time when they arrive at the school till lesson starts at 1pm ?
Thanks.
Rgds,

Generally, one has to be careful when interpreting 'average' T-scores in schools with GEP pupils. The average includes the GEP pupils who tend to score better. For eg. I believe that the average for GEP pupils in RGPS every year is about 265. (I read this from another thread). The school's average is about low 230s. The true average for the mainstreamers then is lower than 230, after excluding the 70-plus GEP pupils. Hope this helps a little.
Cheers! :celebrate: -

Ming, my gal's schoolbus (No 31) reaches school before 12.15 as it beats the one-way traffic along Hillcrest Road. Most bother buses would arrive before 12.30pm. With exception of Wed (contact time: 12.30pm either in Hall or in the Classroom while the PV's help with activities whilst the teachers have their weekly meeting), the pm session begins at 1pm.

The girls would line up in the hall and read or chat with friends. -

Thanks for your kind reply.
May I enquire what time does your girl get on the bus then ?
I am just worried that if they arrive at the school too early prior to the actual lesson starting time, they might not be adequately supervised.

The girls have to be \"confined\" to the hall since lessons are on in the class anyway. Plus the hall is just next to the P's office...she naturally becomes the discipline person when it gets too rowdy.
Ming, it's a price that FTWM like myself would have to pay unless one can take timeoff of ferry her to and from school everyday.
Something I'd call an occupational hazard lo!
