Romantic place for Garden of morning.still looks serene and nice

But if you go during winter, by 5.30pm is dark. isn't it too cold to get back to seoul city then? when the night temp drop to -9 downwards, Its really unbearable

      where is the seafood place?

      mypillow
yeah indeed very serene place šŸ˜„ was planning to reach there by afternoon, i saw the winter pic from their website all covered with snow, so nice. The lighting actually starts at 5.30pm which by then will be dark already, will stay till 6.30pm then head back to seoul. i reckon it will be very cold coz when i was there in autumn, already very cold!! its the coldest place which we visited during our trip.

The seafood place is at noryangin fish market. u just pick whatever u want & they will cook for u, so much cheaper than here. i even tried the live octopus which is good too šŸ˜„

wow I can imagine the great taste from the fresh seafood. How they cook it, bbq? ok, i must visit this fish market too. I also intend to go korea again this yr end. My kiddos enjoy the theme park and snow park( dun dare to go Japan :p)

        Hi everyone

We r gg Korea in feb. Can I chk wat kind of stroller do u all bring for holi esp big kids? My ds is very lazy so he has to sit in most of the shopping time. But he is 5yrs old nw, 22kg n tall. He is too long for his old combi esp sleeping. Thinking of getting one but which one? We only need it when travelling. Needs help. Thanks.

I don't recommend bringing stroller if u goin around taking their subway. There's a lot of stairs & hardly any lifts & some of the stations do not have elevators too. It will be rather inconvenient carrying the stroller esp climbing up the stairs.

yah no point pushing stroller on snow ground during winter. Shopping streets are really crowded. But you can rent stroller in big theme parks like everland etc so shd not be an issue without stroller. your son will be happy to run around the wide space in korea trourist spots like palace, national parks, theme parks, ski resorts

they bbq & steam, & for fish its normally spicy stew soup šŸ™‚ its different from what we ate here in seafood resturants. but the restaurant service really sucks, dont expect good service.

my kids also enjoy the theme parks šŸ™‚ but i think they will love it even more when they see & play in the snow this year end šŸ˜‰
of coz quality of snow, japan is much better but not at the moment.

I was lucky to encounter 3 snow days last dec. thus the snow quality was gd at the resort n good. Fresh n soft like powder. And bcos of the low temp avg -8 to -12, snow did not become ice. The temp of Korea seem to be getting lower nowadays

              Hi mummychia n my pillow,
I dun know whether I ve the courage not to bring the stroller. U both do ve a point. Ski aside, we will b gg shopping the rest of other days. No tourist spots as everyone is not into in. Ds dun like to walk so we ve no choice n we can't carry him all the time. I do wish that I dun need to bring. Dilemma!

maybe your boy depends too much on stroller, if he didnt see it probably wont want to sit, coz usually if its available & given a choice, kids would prefer to sit than walk. Agreed with mypillow, street shopping are usually crowded & it may not be easy moving around in icy street or pathway.
u can rent strollers in theme park & maybe some shopping centres. if u shop in doota or shinsaegae, there's a kids play area cum coffee shop which u can drop your boy there with hubby while u shop šŸ˜„
if really must bring, then bring an ultra light & easy to open/close kind. otherwise its really a challenge carrying it up & down the stairs in the subway. dont forget stroller rain cover too, to protect against cold strong wind & snow.

This is how Nami Island looks in the winter. Actually nothing interesting abt this island unless you are a fan of Winter Sonata. Mt Sorak Park is many times better.

                    Hi Winnieng,

The Everland fireworks I saw was on a Wednesday. Not sure if its on everyday.

                    Hi Car118,

Try not to bring a stroller if you can. Can be a hassle with the carrying, folding/unfolding plus the uncertain terrain. Why dont you talk to your son he has to do the walking if he wants to go to Korea. Practise it here first! My 4-year gal did all the walking when we were in Osaka/Tokyu last Dec.

                        sundaymorning:

                        ooooo! that is nice šŸ™‚

anyone has any recommendation of tour package to korea Seoul?
and which hotel is good ?
                        Thanks in advance!

We went with Chan's World Holidays last month to Seoul and Jeju. 8D6N. They are the English tour arm of Chan Brothers. There were 19 in our group, including 3 kids. The tour was hectic but we covered A LOT, more than we have on our own in 2-3 weeks. Included 2N in Yongpyong for skiing and a visit to the indoor waterpark next door. First night spent in Ramada at Gangnam and the rest of the hotels were fine too. No complaints.

If you are single or a young couple, it is fine and great value for money considering many main sights covered, including Han River cruise, Mt Seorak, Unification Observatory (where u can see NKorea just 2km away without going further to Panmunjom), Presidential Palace Museum, Everland, key shopping areas, kimchi making, hanbok wearing (kids enjoyed dressing up), Jeju 3D trick art museum/ice museum (new attraction - very fun), teddy bear museum (kids loved it), sunrise peak, traditional Korean village, etc. But be prepared to wake up at 6am often and return late to hotel, sometimes close to midnight. Fortunately my kids aged 6 and 3 handled it well but it was very tiring for DH and I, especially with all the winter gear to handle.

Such tours make a good overview trip and then head back another time on your own because on tour, there is very little time spent at each stop.

For best deal, be among the first 10 pax to sign up for any tour to get the biggest discounts which the tour leader said can be better than NATAS prices. But don't just take it from her. Do your shopping around first. Best if u can be among the first ten to sign up during a NATAS fair!

Thanks BuSy JuNeBuG for the information you have shared :)))!
i should be heading to NATAS to check out the deals ! A tour will be better with kids i guess
