It was not published as they do not want to go against MOE policy of over promoting... :nailbite:
Syshi, thanks for the info. It is good to know.syshi:
Wow... long time didn't check, seems like I missed a lot of things :yikes:
Just to add on the above, I was at a recent Anderson Parent Link Group meeting when the school management shared with the parents about the 2012 PSLE results.
At the meeting, the school shared that it has recorded the highest pass rate of 99.6 % in its school history in the 2012 PSLE.
The pass rate for all subjects is also higher than the national passes, with about 7 out of 10 pupils making to the Express Course over the past 2 years of PSLE.
The school also shared that it is particularly proud of the achievements of the class of pupils taking foundation subjects as many of them have achieved very good results and are able to pursue an NA course in secondary schools.
One even made it to the Express Course.
In the meeting, the school management also expressed to the parents that it is important that schools and parents come together to affirm and celebrate the achievements and efforts of all our children in the PSLE.
Every child is unique and has different interests and talents. As such, results at PSLE or other forms of exams should not be used to ‘define’ our children or used a single point of yardstick to measure the overall success of our children.
As parents, let’s all be proud of all our children’s achievements and continue to guide and encourage them to be happy, positive, resilient and good contributing members of the larger community.
Hope we don't really start comparing as different schools, children have their own strengths and weaknesses... each of them is unique... :salute:
I don't recall reading the good news on APS website. Wonder if it is against MOE policy to share the stats. If not, such good news should be shared.
Maybe i'll try to see whether can ask them to reconsider as this is just part of fact to share without any 'seasoning' -
Did not receive any CCA form yet for P2… My ds in 2.6.

Does anyone heard of the student ID photo taking session in school? In the Jan newsletter, we were told that it is on Wed (16 Jan), but it apparently did not happen…Not sure when to have ds wearing wearing the school uniform instead of PE attire for this purpose…
Thanks so much!

Hi,
I emailed the CCA teacher in charge directly. On the same day, CCA teacher passed the form to my dd. Thus you may want to email the CCA teacher-in-charge for more info:)
Btw, anyone interested to sign your child up for the swimming CCA? I recd the form on Fri. The 1st lesson is on next Fri. Need to be in the school cafe by 8.45am. I suppose transport is provided. The est. cost is $220 (not sure for how many lessons as it is not indicated in the form). -

Thanks, mashy! I thought they change their student ID card every year, but looked like I was wrong!
