My boy just informed me that their thursday ems supplementary is for selected students.

Chinese finish unit 2 already.

Me trying to Start Science but find it challenging trying to hv all key words and enough concept etc… challenging Hahaha a bit dunno where to Start

last year dd needed 1hr to learn ting/mo xie and easily can get 90+, this year 2hrs also not enough and got 80+.... :sad: the sentences are longer and words are more chime (more strokes)..... this week dd will have her 1st maths test..... her T already told the class it will be very difficult, those not good in the 4 operations (referring to whole number i think) will find it hard and may see some failures..... :shock: :lightrod: :faint:

i saw my boy using calculator the other day. the way he punched those numbers looked as though he was using a phone to sms!! told him to find a more efficient way to key in the numbers - use the middle finger!! put the calculator on the table for goodness sake! middle finger more accurate and faster than using two thumbs!! :faint:

for dd sch supplementary classes are not only for weaker students… some or in fact most are for better students to push them further for better results (eg. MO or HOTS…)

Ds just text me, complaining that he has tons of work today.


He also told me that he needs to attend the supplementary lessons every Mon and Tue for the 4 subjects. Wed for enrichment class and Fri for CCA, starting next week.

Practically 4 times a week. Is this normal?

well, i’m slowly convincing dd that this is norm… just look at your friends around u, they are also having more hw… some tuition friends are late for every lesson coz they have back-to-back lessons nearby… she slowly accept the fact that P5 is the time to be serious with sch work and once she is aware that she is not alone, she will not feel so bad… hope i’m not creating panic to those who think otherwise…

I’ll have a good talk to him again tonight. Hopefully, he’ll wake up from his "La…La" land before it’s too late. I felt sad for him.

My P4&5 has two days of compulsory HCL and English/Maths Addl Academic support

for ALL students, one or two days of Cca depending on.Cca.
CCA for younger one is one day but 4 hours long

Yes, my dd staying back 4 times a week this year. Last year was 3 times a week.
